WHY IS IT WORTH VISITING?

Protėviai describes itself as a fire restaurant inspired by the ancestral experience of people around the world, where ancient cooking traditions meet contemporary culinary techniques.

“The restaurant uses exceptional products, features a large open grill, and cooks food directly over glowing embers and wood fire,” says head chef Laurynas Ruminavičius, describing what makes the restaurant unique.

The interior of Protėviai is equally distinctive, filled with references to fire. The space itself enhances the culinary concept, creating an atmosphere that complements the food. Thanks to exceptional meat and the authentic flavor of open flame, every bite at Protėviai tells a story.

The restaurant’s team says they have changed over the past year – growing together with their guests. The kitchen has gained more experience, and the dining room now welcomes even more returning guests. “We have clarified what matters most to us – high-quality meat, real fire, and sincere interaction. Today, this is what we live by every day,” they emphasize.

Asked what they wish for themselves, they say they hope the fire never stops inspiring – in the kitchen, in the dining room, and in the hearts of their guests.

WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW ABOUT THE MENU?

For starters, the restaurant offers a wide range of raw dishes (fish and meat), some of which, even when raw, still bear a touch of fire. A broad selection of beef steaks, fish, and seafood is available – everything here is cooked over glowing embers.

GUESTS RETURN BECAUSE this is the first restaurant of its kind in Lithuania where dishes are prepared exclusively over open flame, just as our ancestors cooked thousands of years ago.

“Guests return to us for the distinctive flavors and the sincere atmosphere. We grill with love, share good energy, and create a place people want to come back to – for the taste, the aroma, the feeling,” says restaurant manager Dovilė Gudavičė.

According to the restaurant’s representatives, guests often say that the food at Protėviai recalls the true, natural taste of meat – without excess, just fire and quality. They say this is the best compliment, as it reflects exactly why they cook the way they do.

WHO WORKS IN THE KITCHEN?

The restaurant’s team consists of experienced professionals united by respect for the product and passion for their craft.
