WHY WORTH VISITING? Stikliai is the first restaurant that was opened in Lithuania after regaining independence and was a pioneer of fine dining in the country. Many high-ranking officials, kings, and presidents have dined here – a testament to the restaurant's quality and professionalism over four decades. The chefs at Stikliai served the Lithuanian Presidency for many years, hosting dinners both in the Presidential Palace and Gediminas Tower. The restaurant is adorned with a glass roof, swaying with carefully arranged plants from the second floor. If celebrations take place here, organizers need minimal decor – the festive atmosphere is already created by the surroundings.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE MENU? Stikliai mostly relies on classic French cuisine. "We strive for delicious, aesthetic, and beautiful dishes," says chef Rytis Kairys, who has been leading the restaurant's kitchen for several years. Guests can find dishes featuring Baltic seafood, sea delicacies, lobster, and occasionally salmon for cold dishes. Among meat dishes, guests particularly enjoy venison, beef, sometimes duck, and the chef currently favors turbot. Foie gras enthusiasts can taste the dish made on-site. "We prepare dishes from seasonal products, aiming to present them differently than usual, to reveal their taste," emphasizes the chef.
GUESTS RETURN FOR time-tested quality, festive ambiance, professional service, and years of experience.
WHO WORKS IN THE KITCHEN? Over the years, Rytis Kairys has assembled a team for the gastronomic restaurant, currently consisting of 6 people. Rytis himself mostly worked in hotel restaurants in Vilnius before joining Stikliai.
