NEWS. Over the last year, Artūras and Odeta Naidenko, the creators of uoksas, have devoted even more attention to the responsible business topic: „We choose local and seasonal products, avoiding transportation costs and pollution“. In recent years, the focus has been on the implementation of sustainability principles in the restaurant: „We strive to make our guests deliberately choose our service not only in terms of quality, taste and price, but also taking into account the „zero waste“ efforts of the restaurant“, – says the restaurant’s owner Odeta.

RESTAURANT’S UNIQUENESS. Not only in Kaunas, but also in the context of the entire Lithuania, this is a unique place that seeks to present the traditional flavors of our country in a new expression. The menu here changes few times every season, which is more frequent than usual in many other restaurants.

BRIEF MENU. On the menu, you will always find four appetizers, one soup, four hot dishes and two desserts. Local products from the Baltic Sea region prevail in uoksas kitchen. Late spring, summer and autumn - seasonal vegetables, fish, poultry, fruits, berries, mushrooms, wild spices, herbs and other garden and forest goods. In the winter and early spring – crops, root crops, cattle meat, game, fermented fruits, vegetables, berries, preserved products.

CULINARY HITS. No dishes come back to the menu. Chef does not like the repetition, therefore, he is constantly looking for new products, suppliers, new ways of implementing technology: „We identify ourselves as culinary creators, educating the consumer,“ – says Odeta.

TASTING MENU. First tasting dinner option consists of four dishes (two appetizers, hot dish and dessert) – price ~30 Eur per person. Another option consists of six dishes (two appetizers, two hot dishes and two desserts) – price 40 Eur per person. All the tasting dinners have to be booked in advance.

CHEF. Artūras Naidenko has been in the professional kitchen since being 18 years old. During this time, he was entrusted to "create" several new restaurants both in Lithuania and abroad. Currently Artūras and Odeta have several restaurants in addition to uoksas: one – „mr. snob greenhouse“ – in Nida, another – „snobas“ – opens in July in Kaunas. Both of them like to experiment with the street food and have their own food truck – „mr. snob foodtruck“.

SPACE. Restaurant’s space and interior solutions are an integral part of the whole, reflecting the concept of the restaurant, described in two words: obeying the nature
