BRIEF RESTAURANT’S STORY. This is one of the first restaurants in Vilnius with high-level service, opened 13 years ago as a wine place, which, by the way, also was one of the first in the city at the time. At Saint Germain, there are still employees which work there since its opening. One of them – chef-in-chief Gediminas Švenčionis.

RESTAURANT’S UNIQUENESS. This is probably the most stable choice of restaurant when looking for a consistent quality with a tried and evaluated menu and just a few novelties on the menu every year.

BRIEF MENU. In the period of more than 10 years, a la carte menu created by G. Švenčionis has hardly changed, because, according to general manager of the restaurant Dainius Vasiliauskas, to include a new dish, you have to remove an older one, but you can only remove something if you manage to cook something better. Which is not so easy. Besides, regular quests of Saint Germain like certain dishes, and hardly „let go“ their favorites.

CULINARY HITS. Beef tartare – 13 Eur, tomato soup / gazpacho – 8 Eur, creamy boletus soup – 8 Eur, beef stroganoff – 21,50 Eur, tuna fillet with tomatoes – 22 Eur, boletus risotto – 15 Eur.

CHEF. Before working in a purely French-style restaurant, chef Gediminas Švenčionis worked in the restaurants Hazienda Steakhouse and Tores. And as the chef he grew up exactly here in Saint Germain, where he has been working for 13 years now.

SPACE. Even though tables at Saint Germain are covered with white tablecloths and the restaurant’s team always tries to look their best, the ambiance of the French “boheme” is not stranger here also due to an idyllic location in the old town of Vilnius. Actors John Malkovich, Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Marie Trintignant’s family and others spent here many evening.
