DISTINCT.
The Time team is distinct in that they work seven days a week from the morning to the evening and change their menu daily twice. It would be hard to find any other such dynamic and creative kitchen in Vilnius. This pace does not tire Time. On the contrary, it inspires for new discoveries and continuous development and improvement.
CHEFS.
Time has two chefs: chef-patron Egidijus Lapinskas and chef who is always there – Andrius Kubilius. Yes, Andrius is indeed the son of the Lithuanian Prime Minister who in the face of an economic crisis in 2009 did not flounder, completed his culinary studies and worked hard to become an excellent chef!
LUNCH SPECIALS.
Lunch specials which are different every day is better than dinner in some Lithuanian restaurants. Different, creative and of high quality every day – everything is prepared locally (starting with mayonnaise and finishing with sausages). You will always find both cold and hot starters (EUR 5-7), soup (EUR 3) which is served with bread and locally whipped butter, 3-4 hot dishes (EUR 7-12) and at least 3 desserts (EUR 3-3.5) in a lunch time.
DINNER.
Dinner menu of Time features more complicated dishes and unusual combinations. For instance, water-melon with Serrano ham or trout with guacamole, etc. This year’s fashion trend to smoke products locally was practiced by Time as early as 4 years ago. Such menu is always one step ahead, creative and with good mood. Service is of high quality but is not too formal.
LATE BREAKFAST.
It is one of the best sounding brunches in the city. Every Sunday from 12:30 p.m. the restaurant organised the buffet type late breakfast with sparkling wine, oysters, about 10-12 cold dishes, fish and meat hot dishes and a table of desserts. Since the restaurant can seat 70 people only advance booking is necessary to have such brunch, unless you were born under a lucky star and will find a seat without a queue. Late breakfast costs EUR 25 per person.
WINE CARD.
The idea of wine card at Times is simple – good price and quality ratio. Since one of the owners of the restaurant – Arminas Darasevičius – is also one of the best sommeliers, it would be strange to doubt his choices when creating a wine card. Arminas continuously changes the choice of wines on draught. The restaurant offers 11 different types and origins wines at a time. A glass of wine cost EUR 3-4.5 which is not expensive given the quality of wine you can find here.
