No. 5 Gastronomika

Gastronomika is a culinary and art space of the chef and graduate of the prestigious culinary school Le Cordon Bleu Liutauras Čeprackas which is called by the owner a culinary loft. Everything in this place is focused on food, but the forms are very different. Thus Gastronomika is more than a restaurant.

This unique place seeking to reveal the connection between food and culture is set up in the New City (Naujamiestis) residential area of Vilnius which is found in industrial cobwebs where restaurant goers are invited to book seats for tasting dinners every Thursday and Friday (except for summer).

The ambience in the restaurant is exclusive, it stimulates to unriddle culinary secrets and learn how to qualitatively perform elementary and subtle manoeuvres in the process of food preparation. Chef Liutauras Čeprackas conducts various culinary course programmes, which are intended for amateurs and professionals, in this culinary studio himself.

TASTING DINNER.

Gastronomika is the first place in Lithuania which meets all fine dining standards. Thursdays and Fridays (except for summer) tasting dinner guests try exclusive dishes created by chef Liutauras Čeprackas.

6 or courses are served during a tasting dinner. Also diners are invited to enjoy wines matched to every dish or to choose their favourite wine themselves.

A tasting dinner menu is changed every 2-2.5 months. Every tasting dinner is a unique work of authorship by Liutauras Čeprackas. For example, the last seasonal menu was “Inspired by Japan”. It emerged after Liutauras’ trip around Japan.

In Gastronomika, ingredients of exclusively high quality are used for dishes. They arrive from different countries of the world: Italy, France, Germany, etc. Dinners in the restaurants take place only according to advance bookings – this only allows the restaurant to maintain exceptional quality. Such gourmet dinner costs from EUR 65.

INTERESTING.

Gastronomika is set up in the premises of a former radio component factory. To find this place might take some time because there is no signboard outside so as to prevent access to strangers.
