DINNER.
The menu of the restaurant changes along with seasons, sometimes even more often. Some of particular ingredients arrive from Great Britain. Spices are, certainly, sent by his relatives from India. The restaurant even has its secret mixture of spices which is perfectly known to permanent diners but has still not been deciphered. To prepare India-inspired dishes the chef cannot manage without local products as well. Gaspar support local producers and farmers. For instance, he buys butter from small farms only, coffee – from Emanuel (Crooked Nose & Coffee Stories), and whisky – from Šarūnas (King & Mouse), etc.
The chef of Indian origin has noticed that Lithuanians like the smell of smoke. For this reason, there is a number of grilled dishes in the restaurant which still have some Indian taste.
A dish included in a la carte on average costs about EUR 10. The chef has also planned to start with tasting dinners (a 5 course dinner will cost about EUR 40).
The menu of the restaurant contains cigars and wine card. The chef orders wine from the wine club Vyno Klubas in Vilnius. Apart from gourmet wines, he also serves champagne. In summer, Gaspars offers to try some special cigars on the terrace.
BREAKFAST.
The first very important message on the subject of breakfast is that Gaspar's offers brunch, i.e. late breakfast, every Sunday. His breakfast is healthy, light and motivating. You will always find eggs Benedict, at least 3 cold dishes, 2 hot dishes, a lot of fresh vegetables and fruit as well as desserts. On weekend mornings, Gaspar bakes banana pancakes with coconut sugar from Goa Island.
INTERESTING.
He has special spices from India which can be found solely on Goa Island. Without this mixture of spices there would be no restaurant and Gaspar claims that if he fell short of these spices, he would temporarily close the restaurant for as long as he got the spices. These spices are prepared by his relatives in India, he is, therefore, sure that no one in Europe has this mixture of spices.
