WHY WORTH VISITING? "Monai" is a cozy home restaurant in the port city, serving simple, fresh, and high-quality a la carte dishes. It offers a friendly atmosphere and a good ambiance. "Kitchen without secrets," – that's how the owner Vytautas Samavičius introduces "Monai."
\WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE MENU? They aim to cook clear food with mostly five ingredients, avoiding marinades. "Although guests don't come to us for a specific dish, everyone would miss out if we removed the tuna tartare from the menu,” Vytautas says. The restaurant always has at least 2–3 fish dishes and 1–2 meat options. Every morning they bake sourdough bread without yeast.
GUESTS RETURN BECAUSE "we are nice, friendly, and service-oriented," Vytautas says.
WHO WORKS IN THE KITCHEN? Vytautas, with experience in his own restaurants and training abroad, including at the renowned Copenhagen restaurant "Noma." In "Monai," he collaborates with the kitchen chef Gražvydas Tamkevičius and a loyal, dedicated team.
